Forum discussion on Business and Human Rights.

You will engage in an online discussion forum to analyse and debate the responsibilities of states and corporations under the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

Instructions:

Group Assignment: Students will be divided into two groups:

1. Students in Group A will analyze the responsibility of states to protect human rights.
2. Students in Group B will analyze the responsibility of corporations to respect human rights.

Initial Post (200-250 words):

1. Each student will read the relevant sections of the UN Guiding Principles and submit a short post summarizing their assigned responsibility.
2. Posts should highlight key principles, provide real-world examples, and discuss potential challenges in implementation.

Engagement (50 words per response):

1. Each student must respond to at least one peer from the opposite group.
2. Responses should engage critically, ask questions, or challenge interpretations using evidence from the document or real-world cases.
